    Hi Guys

I have installed 6 PIR's in the hallway, store, living area, Bathroom, En-Suite and Hot Press(Room where hot water tank is stored). for some reason the light in the hotpress, once activated by the PIR, keeps re-activating immediately after de-activating. Is this anything to do with the level of heat in this room as there is definitely no movement or what could be my problem? I have no timers etc. just basic switching throughout the installation. And all the other PIR's seem to be working fine.

    Thanks

    Hi Rauiri

I would imagine the pir in the hot press is picking up a change in temp from the immersion heater ...??...It might be better to have a reed switch on the hot press door and connect it to an aux input module instead of using a pir...

    Pir

You could also try adjusting the ?Debounce? setting under the Global tab in the PIR GUI using Toolkit. The default setting is 96ms try raising this setting in small increments to lower the sensitivity of the PIR.

    thanks Bill,

I'll give that a go it would be easier than fitting a reed switch!
