    Hi,
Please could someone tell me if it is at all possible to connect to the C-Bus network from PICED via a WISER connection. I'm connected to WISER via wireless but when I click on Connect to C-Bus it does not connect.
    Any advise appreciated.
    Thanks

Are you trying to use Toolkit to connect to the cbus network?

When you select "Connect to C-Bus" from within PICED it uses the connection to C-Bus as defined in the C-Bus Toolkit project file. If your C-Bus Toolkit project file is using some other device on your network, other than the Wiser, then C-Gate won't be able to find it and therefore won't be able to connect.

Hi, thank you for the response.
I can successfully connect to the network using toolkit and update units, but when I try and connect via PICED it doesn't connect.

Hi, thank you for the response. Perhaps I was a little vague.
I have recently added a wiser to my c-bus installation. Unfortunately my laptop was stolen some time ago and I have lost all my project files, so I was hoping to down load the PICED project file from my BW touch screen via the wiser connection.
Thus, currently I don't have the project file. Any ideas on working around this one.
I'm also not able to transfer the wiser project file from the unit to PICED. It transfers successfully but when trying to extract the archive it says there is no project file in the archive. Any idea on this one?

    Hello ggerber
You will need to have a project in CBus Toolkit.
Have you run Toolkit and downloaded all the units from your CBus network to a new project?

Unless you have a really good reason to want to transfer via Wiser, I would suggest connecting to the touch screen directly to transfer the project to your PC. It is possible that transferring from the unit to the PC via C-Bus is not working properly.

The only unit which keeps a copy of your project file is the Colour C-Touch. If you have one of these, just transfer the project from Colour C-Touch to your PC and you will be done.

    Otherwise:
    1. Create a new project
    2. Set Wiser as your CNI connection (unless you have a PCI connection)
    3. Open all networks and scan them
    4. Transfer all units to the database
    5. Create group address tags

Thank you everybody for the assistance. I got the projects from the installer and am able to continue happily. Only problem is the B&W Touch PICED project give me a "Base node missing" error when I try and open it.

    Any ideas?
