    Hello.

Has anyone had any experience with how the Phillips Hue lights perform with a C-Bus dimmer?
Phillips advise that their products can work with a dimmer but don't really go into specifics.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the combo. Cheers.

Hue bulbs should not be connected to any dimmer or a CBus dimmer last time I checked the instructions.
A CBus relay output would be OK to use with Philips Hue lamps.
As long as the CBus channel is "on" the Hue lamp could then be controlled by the Hue app or other 3rd party apps eg Homebridge.

Here's my approach. I use MQTT to integrate Hue with C-Bus.

Groups are created to represent the Hue devices and are tagged 'HUE', then I talk to them via LUA code on a 5500SHAC. A container called hue2mqtt runs somewhere on the Ethernet network (I run it using Portainer on an instance of Home Assistant OS, but it could be spun up in Docker, probably even on a Rasberry Pi).

So if you have a SHAC, read about my experience here...
