    G'day all

Can anyone confirm the maximum number of timers currently available in PAC logic? I know the help says 20, but the release notes for PICED say "7715 Increased the number of logic timers".

    Thanks

    Matt

PAC still supports 20 timers. The change 7715 only applied to Schedule Plus. Sorry for the confusion.

PAC may support 20 timers but will all the code work with 20 timers running

I've used 18 of them. They don't all necessarily run at the same time in my code, but everything seems fine.

    Blinds, shutters, curtains for sure.

And in the project I mentioned, I'm just using them as part of a security interface to shut down areas when the security system says they're not in use.

    Use of timers

What about AV system power up and shutdowns (Making sure projectors have correct amount of cooling time.)
Controlling RS232 comms when checksum/response delays are required.
Powering up and shutting down large loads and large amounts of circuits so there are not large in rush currents, voltage spikes etc.
    Security system shut downs.
Just about every automation scenario that has a bit of complexity can end up with a timer or two ;)

Not all of us can afford DLP projectors and Integra amps Phil, I suggest you get with the program and make sure you focus on getting your weight onto the front foot! :p

Yes I have written some programs involving professional quality AV gear and the Integra work was purely for others. Let the record show I do not have any of this stuff myself - would love an Integra though.
You are soooo right about getting the weight onto the front foot - absolute magic. Come to think of it that statement reminds me of a chap who is really handy to know for a couple of reasons. ;-)
