PAC Not working

Never seen this before but I'm dealing with a PAC that simply doesn't run the logic inside it.
it programs ok and no errors in logic but the logic does not work at all.
is this a faulty PAC ?

 

Have you disconnected it from the PC? Logic won't run if connected to the PC or being used as a PCI.

 

That actually was the problem, you have no idea how many hours I burnt on this and without you I would have waisted even more hours. Thank you so much

 

I'm having a similar issue. The code was working. I modified a single line, and now it won't run. It compiles and seems to run OK in PICED and it transfers to the unit OK, but just doesn't seem to run on the PAC. Is there any way I can see if the code is actually running im the PAC or not?

 

On The Pac there are 4 LEDs. 2 of which are on the PCB towards the top right of the unit. Look for the Status LED and see whatsit is doing. Following in fo from the help file in PICED



What does the flashing of the Status LED mean ?

Status LED Behaviour

Meaning

Flashing 2.5 times per second

Normal operation. LED changes state each time logic is run.

Flashing fast

Fault with the firmware. Need to transfer new firmware and user file.

Always on

Fault with user configuration data file. Need to transfer new user file.

Goes off for several seconds

Logic has had a run-time error and the logic engine has had to re-start. Most common cause is that the logic has taken too long to execute.

Always off

Logic is having an error on every scan. Most common cause is that the logic has taken too long to execute.
