I presume this is for Darren..

I remember having read about firmware problems for the PAC. Since I have encountered some troubles with that as well (version 2.21), is there some light at the end of the tunnel? :)

    Regards
    Thomas

Did you install any lights at the end of the tunnel and did the PAC process the keypress correctly ? Have you checked the tunnel bulb ? ;)

I am not aware of any problems with the current version of PAC firmware (V2.21) which need attention. Can you be more specific about the problems you have ?

    Hi Darren,

If I remember correctly, it was stated that for large projects this version of the firmware gave problems, and a new one was on the way.
While this is not a large project, the problems I have is intermittent operation, and the PAC Status Indicator flashes constantly, indicating corrupt firmware. Re-downloading the project with the same software (Piced 3.8) and re-downloading the same firmware (Version 2.21) did not improve matters.
Only reverting to Piced 3.6 with firmware 2.3 did the trick.

I don't recall anything like that.

With V2.21, the status indicator flashes constantly (at 2.5Hz) with normal operation. If the firmware is corrupted, it flashes more quickly (around 5Hz).

What do you mean by "intermittent operation" ?

    Hi Darren,

I checked through the threads again, and you are right. The Version 2.21 firmware issue was related to C-Touch , not PAC. My apologies.

    To answer your question further:
Sorry, it is a bit difficult to differentiate between 2,5 and 5 Hz on a single unit.
As regards the intermittent operation, what that means is that it works intermittently. Sometimes it carries out what it should, sometimes not.

I will use another PAC, upload the project with PICED 3.8 and see what happens. Will get back to you.

    Thanks
    Thomas

Yes, I know what "intermittent" means :)

I was wanting to know what exactly was going wrong with the PAC.
