Is there any plans to allow exsiting HomeSafe systems to be upgraded to allow the new functionality? (or will I need to replace my recently purchased panel completely?

Sorry, no upgrade. Its a new main board in the panel.

Not sure on the exact release timetable. S/W in the panel is still in development.

Just Installed 8 x new panel (Ness Security one as clipsal has rebadged again) Size of the panel is a big improvement and options for access control pretty good for a standard panel. One thing i found that lacks is that the output expander still only gives 12v output neg feed and that becomes a problem when you have to drive slave relays to close contacts on bus couplers inside the panel meaning no room again fro expansion. It would be nice if you guys could develop and sell relay cards instead output extenders and a larger panel so the interface to cbus could be easier rather than going to challenger or concept alarm panels to achieve this. Are clipsal going to be selling the full range of parts for this panel including Weigan readers?

    Homesafe upgrade

    Nathan,

Have you had a chance to look at the comfort panel from Cytech. Great panel, high level interface to c-bus, and easy to program. I recently did the course, and it is very easy to set up. Has a number of other great features as well, like integrated intercom, answering machine, call forwarding etc, etc. Great little unit with plenty of tricks

    New Homesafe panels

Very True, that is an annoying thing about it. We will ask the question of the supplier.

No idea at the moment, any info i have has been posted here previously for you. We will advise as soon as info is put across our desk.

    where to source??

My suggestion to you considering that this is now getting off track and has
nothing to do with the title of this forum section "Homesafe" would be to
follow it up on a forum dedicated to the comfort panel.

provided link is to the "Comfort panel" section on the OZ-integrate forum and could do with input from some users.
