Not impressed with Schedule Plus V4

    We have been running S+ for a number of years now and were quite happy with the V3 version of it. We have only recently upgraded to V4 and so far I am really not impressed.
    Though the V3 version of the software was stable, we now have constant software crashes, exception reports etc. Even things like scanning a network causes the software to crash.
    (Before anybody asks no we havent made any other changes to the c-bus network and yes both S+ and toolkit are the latest versions available as of today)
    Attempting to do any of the shortcuts like leaving C-gate running in the background and swapping between toolkit and Schedule Plus doesnt seem to work as before, with the networks constantly staying at 'Sync' until you restart C-gate.
    Even then you will have C-bus toolkit unable to scan certain networks properly and for some weird reason you have 'Scan New' for it see even existing units.
    Yes the V4 has the bells and whistles but I much rather have something that is reliable rather than pretty especially considering the amount that we have to pay for it.

    The only source of "instability" we are aware of in the current version of Schedule Plus is this one, which has a simple work-around.

    If you can provide details, we can investigate further. Sending in exception reports with details of what you were doing at the time of the exception helps a lot.

    I have never heard of this occurring. We will need more details, such as what you mean by "crash" and what you did to make this occur.

    Our recommendation has always been to not run ToolKit and Schedule Plus at the same time because they use C-Gate in different ways which are not compatible with each other.

    We agree entirely, and strive to provide reliable software. We have a skilled group of people dedicated to testing all of our products, but it is not possible to test every feature in every possible scenario and so occasionally problems slip though.

    We appreciate any feedback and try to provide timely solutions to any problems.
