    This is fine for the PAC unit - OpenSerial(1,1, = serial port number, COM Port number,

    For the PAC the serial port number and COM port number are the same. 1 and 1 or 2 and 2.

    However - if the PC you are running the PICED (pronounced pick ed) software has a serial port as com 2,3, or 4 then you will have to write your test code for this com port eg OpenSerial(2,2, etc then change it back before dumping the project into the PAC.

    Hope that makes sense.

    Thanks to everyone for all of your help, I found the problem today. I was originally using a "module enable" function to initiate the Lutron shade, and today I added the 'shade' as a c-bus lighting group and used a bell press to get the 'state' of the shade, which then would make it move accordingly. If anyone ever needs the code to make Clipsal work with Lutron, I have it. Once again thanks to all for your help. I'm sure Clipsal will take off in the "States" eventually, just wish I wasn't the guinea pig!
