    Hi all

We had the Osram rep here today, advising about release of a new (cheaper) Electronic transformer that will suppliment (effectively replace) the HTM "mouse" in the Aussie market

The new trannie is called the "Redback", and is is mainly being offered to OEMs initially.

It's 60VA, made in Osram factory in China, and sells for a lot less than the Atco Possum, so we Lighting Suppliers are gunna jump at it. The casing is medium orangey-red, and looks pretty "cheap" (like many other blue-coloured chinese trannies). They've ordered 100's of thousands, have heaps in stock, and are making a big sales push - so expect to see them out there fairly soon.

Dimmable with leading or Trailing Edge but bad news = Input Capacitance is 110pF so watch out for how many can go on a Leading Edge dimmer channel.

So, let's bring on the new Cbus Trailing Edge dimmers

    JC

PS: I've attached a datasheet in PDF format (58K) if you're intersted.
