    Hi everyone,
I’ve recently bought a house that has an older Clipsal C-Bus 2 system installed, and I’m looking for some advice before I start swapping things out.
Currently, the house is fitted out with traditional halogen downlights. I want to upgrade these to LEDs to cut down on power and heat.
Crucially, there are no dimmers on these circuits, everything is running straight off standard C-Bus 2 relay channels for basic on/off switching.
Before I go out and buy a bunch of retrofit LED bulbs, I was hoping to get some advice from those who know these older modules:
Will swapping high-draw halogens for low-wattage LEDs cause any inrush current issues that might weld or damage the older C-Bus relay contacts over time?
Should I expect the LEDs to ghost/glow faintly when switched off?
Direct Swap vs. Rewire: Generally speaking, is it safe and reliable to just swap the halogens out for LED equivalents on these old relays, or is there a better approach I should be taking to ensure the C-Bus system doesn't play up?
Any advice or pitfalls to watch out for would be massively appreciated!

The C-Bus2 relays are well capable of handling LED downlights.
