    Hey guys,

Crompton sent us out a bunch of new products they are releasing soon, with all-in-one driver/led/leads etc.

Standard marketing, > 80 CRI, 563 lumen output for 3000K lamp, 50,000 hours lamp life, 60? beam angle, 0% - 100% dimmable (CBUS as well) and 80% energy saving compared with a standard 50W.

I have been testing them this weekend on the Universal Dimmer and so far, they have been great.

Dimming is quite smooth, dims down to almost nothing (even with only 1 LED attached).

Obvious issues are it being an all-in-one unit, so you can just replace the driver if it fails, its the whole unit.

Now, in saying that, their 3 year warranty replaces everything if something plays up, and their costs on these have gone down (they are sold in 4 x packs) to looking like under $40 per lamp for trade.

How do they go on the other dimmer (not the Universal)?

They are working well on the standard 8 channel dimmer.

Dim all the way to 1% according the CBUS Toolkit, and they are barely on so I beleive it.

    No flickering or anything yet.

Still hard to get used to 3000k light that looks so white compared to 5 year old halogens.

Glad they are "I ready" what ever that means !

On looking at the web site

"include intelligent control modules, devices, lighting management systems and other system network equipment"

I assume these come under "devices"

    Nice marketing term

good to hear they work under both dimmers types

Does the driver get hot ??

Does driver have any mounting tabs to mount (to keep out of insulation) ?

Yeah, who knows Charlie what it actually means.

I have had them running on L5508D1A for the last 24 hours, and just started noticing some flickering at 100%.

Didnt get that on the universal dimmer, well, that I noticed anyway.
