New C-BUS unit

    The new trade catalog lists a L5501RBCP 2M DIN relay unit for the control of motorised blinds, curtains or shutters.

    Where is the info for this unit? web site has no hits.

    Coincidentally we were looking these items up today.
    Apparently not being released until early next year due to a slight change.

    Available - Wednesday? :D

    any advancement on this (documentation wise).

    Is it just a 1ch c/o relay and nothing else, or are there some smarts in it for various controls of blinds (like a >1sec pulse will send output high to allow curtain to fully open, pressing opposite direction will stop travel etc)

    Even if it is just a 1ch c/o , there are plety of applications for it other than curtain control.

    Sorry, no advance doco-wise.

    This product went into the price guide too soon (I'm sure you know how it works - deadlines to get stuff to the printers... so it went in before development hit a bit of a go-slow.)

    It will have some smarts in. Probably not quite what you suggest... but some.
