    Hi all.

We have several blinds at home, all with somfy motors hooked up to the new blind controllers. All is well.

If the blind takes a full 60secs to close, is there a way to tell the controllers to only command close for 30secs, and add this to a scene. (ie only close the blinds half way!) without, physically standing at the switch and stopping it in the desired position.

    Ideas appreciated.

    Peter.

    Yes, can be done.

Set the failsafe timer in the Shutter Relay to the same (or a smidge longer) than the time it takes for your blinds to fully open or fully close (the longer time of the two).

Then, in your Scene, set a recall to 50% on the group address associated with your blinds. If the blinds were fully open or fully closed, and the failsafe timer is set to 60 seconds, then the Shutter Relay will run the blind motor for 30 seconds. This will put your blinds at approximately half open, give or take.

This works because the Shutter Relay internally tries to keep track of the current location of the blinds. It then compares the target level of the C-Bus command with it's internal model of the blind position and then runs the motors in the appropriate direction for the appropriate duration of time.

    I'll give it a go.

    Many thanks.
