    Hi All,

I'm very new to this forum and need some advise from all expert around.

I'm implementing C-Bus system for my house.
I have 12Ch relay come with Power supply.
I have 2 DLT going to connect to the system.

For the programmming, I have borrow the serial interface from my good friend.
At the same time, I'm planing to buy the new version of USB interface.

Can anybody advice me where I can buy those USB interface in Adelaide?
Do I have any other interface as option for the programing the C-Bus?
There is PASCAL 5500PACA, can I used this interface for the programing the DLT as well?

Maybe my question was too general.
When I connected my USB PC Interface to CBus, and try to update any information or changes, I'm getting error message below:-

Error - 20037 Unit Failed to Save to the Physical Unit.

I was able to read from the DLT and other unit in Cbus system.

Anyway today, I open the 12Chn Relay(RELDN12) and from the Global Tab

Unit Option, I have check the Enable Burden. then what a supprise, all my problem was resolve.

I able to update the both DLT and also able to update other Cbus Hardware.
I'm not sure what does this Enable Burden function is for.
    Can any sifus guide me.

    :)

    Burden is essential!

    Hi PeugeotC
(from first post) You can buy a C-Bus USB PC interface (part number 5500PCU) at almost any electrical wholesaler. Although it would pay to check as most don't carry stock and will have to order them in. I've found the biggest branch of a chain usually located in the city may have them.
    Try MMEM, rexel, or CNW

Maybe your question was too general, i think people on the forum expect that the basic's have been covered. Great that you've found the problem! Playing with C-bus is a great way to learn it, doing a course also really helps set you on the right path.

For C-Bus to operate you need a power supply, a burden and a clock. Now these days these all come in a relay with a power supply, but as you have found you have to enable the burden. Also you need to make the group address of the relay 000 or 001, and save the enable burden feature twice. The clock is automatic, you don't have to do anything about that.

    Hope that helps
    Regards
