The trade price catalogue does not have part number for the power supplies

Does the 560011 Auto Distribution Unit come with power supply ??

Does the 560125R come with power supply ??

I assume the Matrix switcher comes with power supply.

Unfortunately the trade price catalogue was printed well before the requirements were identified.

The matrix switcher has an in built power supply that can power up to 8 amplifiers connected to the digital outputs at a fairly high level.

Power supplies for the amplifiers are required when an amplifier is not connected directly to the matrix switcher or when using at high volume levels.

The distribution unit and the amplifiers are not supplied with power supplies, these must be ordered seperately.

The part numbers are as follows:
    Distribution unit power supply
    5600P24/500AU $24.60 trade + GST

    Amplifier power supply
    5600P24/3750AU $83.80 trade + GST

    The documentation states

6w per channel without power supply
25w per channel with power supply

is this correct. is 6w a fairly high level !

In terms of music power 6W (I believe those are rms values) is more than enough for general comfortable listening volumes in a general room size.

Obviously if you have larger areas, or a need for some thumping sound, you can add in external supplies.

keep in mind also that those are "per channel" values, so total output will be 12W/50W.

If you were only going to use the 6 Watts I suppose you would buy the smaller amp. No point having a 25W amp may as well have the 10 watt version.

Why would you buy the 25W amp without the power supply ? If you wanted 6 W you would buy the 10 Watt AMP . I suppose if the customer complained about the volume you would just add a power supply.

does the external power supply switch off when the amp is powered down ?? What current is drawn in the off state.

    Power supplies

The current draw from that amplifier is significantly reduced when the amplifier is in the off state. The external power supply is not actually switched off. The power consumption when the amplifier is off is somewhere <5W.
