Legend, I hope this is a genuine M!nder temperature sensor and not some cheap North Coast wanna be copy... :D

Just kidding, as long as it works.

Shoot me an email so I can arrange payment / shipping.

There easy to make. If you want I can show you how.

The hardest bit is the housing, if anybody has some of those I'd be interested as well.

    Rohan,

Ross gave me some info on the components required, however I found it difficult at the time to source the exact components required. Maybe my local Jaycar store is not the place to source these items?

As you say the housing can be an issue when trying to install it into an existing installation. At least the Clipsal product looks neat and tidy.

    Peter

I'm talking about what used to be known as a JV25 which became a 5225 (I think).

It only had 2 components, a LM35DZ precision temp sensor and a resistor (100R from memory). you can get these from RS components or Farnell for about $10.

The hard bit is getting one of the clipsal housings, without having to buy a real thermostat like the C-Bus one. Or something else that looks nice.

And a heat sink that was the right size and material to react quickly enough to temp changes, and some heat shrink so it could be mounted in positions that could be described as hostile. :)

    PSC you have mail....

Wow, you had the deluxe ones :) Mine were original Jeeves units that were mounted in a small Clipsal J Box.

Jessec was their old name if I remember correctly. I haven't been there for years, but I still remember all the learner pilots skimming the roof tops on their way into Moorabbin Airport.

Anyway thanks for the tip Frank, I had forgotten all about them.

    Still looking

I have three of the 5225 model if you are looking. Not even used. It was for a long term plan for Minder, not installed any more.

But if you don't want them peter, then I'll take them.
