Matter and C-Bus - A must Schneider Electric

With SE being a founding member of the Connectivity Standards Alliance and Matter now becoming available from a wide range of device and ecosystem partners, is SE planning to develop a Matter Bridge for C-Bus?

Matter connectivity to C-Bus systems via the “original” Wiser or Automation Controllers will extend the life of these installations exposing home owners to an ever growing ecosystem of devices and supporting integrated control via their preferred home automation user interface (HomeKit, Smart Things etc). And of greater interest to SE would have to be the ability to expand C-Bus installations with wireless devices from their own corporation via the “other” Wiser Zibgee (and soon to support Thread) platform.

 

By way of example attached is the image of a DIN rail mounted solution that acts as a bridge between KNX or Loxone to HomeKit, Google or Alexa.
