I have a DVD remote that,
with short press, Fastforward = Next Chapter.
with Long press, Fastforward = x2 or x4...etc.

With NIRT, I lost control. Sometimes I couldn't get NEXT chapter when there is too many pulse with one trigger (i.e. always x2), and there is no way I can get x4, x8, x16..etc because I couldn't simulate long press. Is there any way I can do it?

When you program the NIRT right-click the Fast Forward codes and increase the number of frames transmitted up to the maximum. Then, on the controlling C-Bus unit make the function of the key a bell press. The NIRT will then transmit IR for as long as you're holding your finger down on the key (up to the maximum frame count).
