What option should I look at to integrate to the outside world? That is to my home network (computer) as well as my iPad or smart device? Should I look at the Wiser add-on or the RJ45 c-bus module?

    Cheers

If you are referring to RJ45 C-Bus module (CNI), that is only an interface for toolkit software or 3rd party stuff. But either LAN option can work with the outside world - SHAC or wiser. to Then setup a VPN connection to your home network so you can not only control C-bus, but anything else like view cameras, other home auto software, etc. Safer than leaving ports exposed on your home network to the world, and a lot of ISPs block the ports needed to remote access without complicated port redirection.

Skip Wiser -> Clipsal has left it on Flash with no upgrade path so once Flash is declared deprecated at the end of the year you are out of luck for browser support.

If not Wiser then what do you recommend? SHAC?

Another 3rd part package is CQC - Integration of more than just lighting, add almost everything in the house to a single system
