    Good afternoon folks,

    light switches......

i was thinking of the saturn switch but was told i cannot use an IR remote to control these...

is it worth installing the neo switches on that basis, or is the IR remote not that useful...

and what is the range of the IR remote!

    thanks in advance

    Light switches

    Nick,
I have about 15 NEOs around the house and a IR remote and to be honest I find the remote of little use (bit of a gimmick) as it is easier to turn on the lights as you walk past a switch instead of trying to find the remote (how come they always go missing).

As for distance they work within a range of 5-6 metres but as you increase the angle this distance seems to get shorter.

not sure about the Saturn switch having IR or not.
    Can anybody else help?

    cheers

    No, there's no other benefits..

They just look GREAT, I have them right through my house (wireless ones) and they never fail to draw positive comments from friends etc :)

Your not wrong ,I got one last night at the launch and i knew as soon as my eldest lad seen he would claim it .......Now what i would like is for Clipsal to make a standard ir remote in the same housing and then i could control my lights via my ir system.........BTW it was a really good night ....

Yep, those wireless Saturn switches sure get a few comments.

And my kids have given blessing to the remotes, deeming them to be "Way cool".

As for an IR remote in the same look, thanks, all in good time....
