    Hi,

Had recently commissioned a C-bus lighting control system in a Hotel. I face a problem with the light level sensor.

The light level triggers the programmed groups when the lux level goes below the set Lux level, turning on the corresponding light circuits.

But the same circuits fails to turn off once the lux level goes above the set lux level.

would appreciate if some one can help me out.

    Thanx

Let me get this right. Come night fall you want a group of lights to turn on and come daylight turn off?

To do this you need to use the sunset to sunrise 'feature' of the PIR. The program is in the help file in tool kit, but basically you need to set up sunset to sunrise to do the following:

    Select functions tab:
Ensure the column labelled SS does this:

    Short press On Key
    Short release Off key
    Long press Retrigger timer
    Long release Off key

The group assigned to sunset to sunrise should be the group of lights you are controlling.

One thing to note is the placement of your sensor. Poor placement could mean the light level from the lights you are controlling makes the PIR think it is daylight.

The following notes are from the help file:

    Restrictions

Only available with C-Bus Passive infra red Occupancy Detector and Multi Sensor units.

    Resulting effect

The lux levels measured by the light level (PE) cell are compared against the set point threshold. Lighting levels above the threshold set point are equivalent to the virtual key being pressed. In the case of the Sunset macro function, the default short press event activates the On Key micro function. When the lux levels fall below the set point threshold, this activates the On Key micro function. A long press event occurs when the lux level remains below the light level threshold set point for greater than the long press timer constant value, which is 400 ms. The default micro function when a long press event occurs is the Retrigger Timer micro function. The C-Bus sensor effectively holds the virtual key down to for as long as the light level remains below the set point threshold. When the light level rises above the threshold set point, the virtual key is released.
