I am posting this in case it can be of some use for people looking for dimmable LED oyster lights. Brilliant lighting supplies a dimmable slimline LED oyster light which is available through Bunnings. http://www.brilliantlighting.com.au/products/ceiling/disque/ I have used some Disque fittings in non CBus applications and I like them because they have a colour temp similar to 4000k fluro and by my rough estimation an OK CRI. Actually 4200K claimed. As far as I am aware the lumens per watt are good and they supply a fitting up to 2800 lumens which I think is rare. The fitting has a very even dispersal of light with no hot spots. I have tried the 18W fittings in my office. Dimming levels go pretty low I guess about 10%. Previously I had 6 x LED downlight in a H pattern. I replaced the 2 centre downlights with the 18W 1750lm oyster fittings. Quite a bit more light for not much extra power consumption. They are slimline fittings and look OK for an oyster light. It was easy to mount them over the existing LED downlight holes and I installed them with flex and plug. Two 18W Disque lights on one channel of CBus Universal din rail dimmer. There was a few problems. The oyster lights glow in the off state. Since I don't sleep in my office I didn't bother too much but today I just installed 31LCDA which has stopped that. The office lights are on a sensor and sometimes they go off while I am sitting here not moving much. Occasionally the sensor will turn the lights back on again and the dimmer channel is indicating on but the lights do not illuminate. I'm not sure why but the dimmer is quite old. Turning the channel off and on again fixes it. I don't think the dimmer channel is overheating and I will wait to see if it happens again with 31LCDA connected.
