On one of our recent installation we've got a strange behavior.

Saturn kpd, btn 1 programmed as "Shutter Toggle".
L5501RBCP: Up and Stop is fine. Down stops after 5 sec.

Using the buttons on the L5501 - everything is OK (full up/stop/full down)
Using "Shutter Open" or "Shutter Close" on the kpd - everything is OK.

We've replaced the kpd and the Shutter Relay with new ones - no luck...

We've got other blinds in this project witch are working fine...

First, we thought about an electricity or blind problem but changing the programming on the kpd or using the buttons on the relay unit everything looks normal...

    Any ideas?

I suggest you repeat the test with the C-Bus Diagnostic utility connected to the C-Bus network. It may be the case that another unit is responding to the command from the Saturn keypad and changing the state of the group. This is particularly likely if you have devices such as touchscreens/PAC/Wiser on the same network.

    Shutter toggle

I have also had some issues with Shutter Toggle. I had a installation with 10 Blind relays controlled by a DLT with the Shutter Toggle command. There are no other time keeping devices on network (PAC TS etc). The problem I had was things initially worked fine and then the client called to say all the blinds were going crazy. I went onsite and the blinds would go UP for 6 seconds and STOP for 6 seconds And the go DOWN for 6 seconds. This was continuos non stop. I hooked up my laptop and took a logfile and the command was coming from the DLT. Some thing like set group address to 249 or 98% which Ive been told is the Shutter Toggle Level command.
I swapped DLT and Reprogrammed from scratch (not from database).
I left site and all worked OK for a couple of weeks and then I got the same phonecall. CIS advised me to create seperate group addresses for 10 blinds and use a scene on the DLT to set all GAs to 98% instead of the Shutter Toggle command. Its been going for a week and I havent heard anything so hopefully all :confused is OK

You can get into trouble if you have multiple Shutter Relay units using the same group address when the Failsafe time is different on any of the Shutter Relay units. If a toggle command is sent when one unit is still opening and the other one has stopped, the toggle command causes the first unit to start closing it's blinds and the second unit will stop opening it's blinds.

This contention leads the units to a disagreement about whether the blinds are open or closed and the input unit, C-Touch, DLT, etc will rebroadcast the command in an attempt to sort out the discrepancy.

If you have more than 1 Shutter Relay unit that needs to be controlled by a single button the best way to do it is to use Scenes.
