I was doing some maintenance on an old site. Did a down load to the screen and it all seems fine. The problem is that if you try to use it the lighting group "button" switches on for about 3 seconds with out actually sending a command (had a pc on the network logging the commands) then it just turns off again???

if a key switch is pressed then the same "button" on the screen displays the correct status. it just does not seem to send any commands?

It only happened after I did a transfer to the unit.

I hope that it is some thing simple?

The most likely problem is some sort of communications issue. What is happening is that when you press a button on the touch screen, the command is failing to be sent on C-Bus. In the next six seconds the "MMI" process will correct the state. This is why you are seeing the button go off again.

Is it only some buttons that are failing, or all of them?

Try using the C-Bus Diagnostic software to look at the messages coming from the touch screen. It can also do some checks on your network communications quality.

I Had my last spare screen

I could not get that one to work so swapped it out with a second hand working one (at my cost). I now have another screen on a different site that has just gone. Manufacture Date 2008 so not bad but different issue this one just will not start up.
