Irrigation - ideas for new features / improvements

Hi Guys

I've just installed a Hydrawise http://hydrawise.com irrigation system and there's some good ideas there that would be great for the C-bus irrigation to make it a world class product.

For example using weather station info from wundergrould to
- increase watering based on temperature
- suspend watering based on temperature
- delay watering based on actual rain fall over the last 7
- delay watering if there is rain forecast
- delay watering in high winds
- a flow meter to allow monitoring water usage and reporting if its changed - e.g. broken irrigation fitting
- reports on watering times, water usage etc

There's a number of WiFi / Internet enabled irrigation controllers around such as Bluespray Greenbox GreenIQ Iro Lono NetAQUA that are heading down this route and looking at reducing water wastage and optimising water by only watering when its needed / most effective and going beyond just turning watering on at a specific time.


I'm sure other people here have some great ideas as well.
