    Hi All,

i'm having a problem to capture the Mitsubishi Air-Con IR.
Error Msg "unique interval error" when i'm start to learn the IR code.
    eg,
    1, Press a button "success"
2, Press a SAME button "success"
3, Press ANOTHER button "unique interval error"

i'm using IR Reader version 1.2. to learn the new code and tried to load the default Mitsubishi IR code in Circa but none of them works..... :-(

    Thanks!
    Jack

    Hello Jack.

Good and bad news for you - we have had similar problems with Daikin :( .
Good news is if you send the remote through to CIS, they can generally manipulate the codes into something you can use :) .
Not an overnight fix but it will (hopefully) solve your problem.

    Hi Mark,

    thanks for your reply.
you means i need to send the remote control to CIS(Australia) and they will send me the IR code?

Btw, are you still having Daikin AC IR code problem? I have done it for my provious project and we had solved most of the problems and successfully completed the project. pls let me know if anything.

One thing you can try is changing the minimum gap between data frames from 10ms to 20ms. You can do this on the Options menu and go to the Edit IR Decoding Parameters entry. You may need to enable this menu under preferences first.

Don't forget to put it back to 10ms when you're done.

What happens when you click OK and continue? Are you actually able to learn the individual IR codes?

Try adjusting the minimum gap between frames to 20ms. In doing so, it will hopefully capture the button press as one continuous frame rather than lots of little frames.

Hi Newman thanks for the reply

I've all ready tried changing that. Still the same error message.

If I click ok I can learn codes but they do not work when i test them.

I've been reading up, and could my problem be that because JVC has its own protocol, it isnt supported by the reader?

    Thanks
    Shane

Anything is possible in the land of Infrared. Are you using Circa 2.3? Circa 1.x had a problem with long IR codes and Air Conditioners tend to have the longest codes by quite a margin.

Can you use the Eplore feature of IR reader to see the IR codes coming from the Remote?

After you've learned the protocol for the IR remote the Explore button becomes available. It's next to the Wizard button at the top of the IR Reader window. This will open a window that allows you to 'Explore' the IR codes that are coming from your device.

They will be displayed in the window. By using this window to explore the IR codes the IR Reader software will refine the protocol settings and pop up a message to the user prompting for confirmation. It's a useful tool for checking what's coming from your remote without actually assigning IR codes to the button names.

It doesn't look quite right for a typical air conditioner. Was this done with the gap between frames set to 20ms or 10ms? It might be worth a call to CIS tech support.

    yeh thats right,

    im trying to learn codes for ;
    JVC 50"plasma
    JVC DVD player
    JVC Receiver.

only peice of JVC equipment I've managed to learn codes for is a JVC high definition set top box - I figure this is probably sourced by JVC from a 3rd party.

I can turn the TV on, TV off, TV vol up, TV vol down, TV ch up, TV ch down by using the some of the codes given in marpa but nothing else.

    Thanks for the reply's

the above was done with the gap between frames set to 20ms, but with it set to 10ms it is nearly identicle

You could try opening up the file from IR Reader in something like notepad and editing the minimum and maximum frame count in the Protocol section to 2.

If that doesn't work then you'll have to call tech support, I'm out of ideas.
