IPOD App from Touchsoft

I have an iPAD and am trying to get in touch with TOUCHSOFT who have the iPOD app for Cbus.

Has anyone here used the Touchsoft app? I haven't had much luck trying to contact Touchsoft - anyone here with a contact phone number or an email address for them that works?

Also new to CBus - so I am still waiting on my CNI.

Ok, now as of today - I can't even see their app in the app store - so have they gone out of business? Their app was $99 but there was hardly any other info on it.

 

I also tried to contact them to ask when the promised backup and restore will be available. I had previously phoned the number on the website but as you say it is no longer there.
I then emailed the two email addresses I had a few weeks ago and have not received a reply.

Sadly I suspect they are out of business

I just went to the TouchSoft website today with no problem. I was also able to find their app on the App Store - just searched for TouchSoft.

I had also been waiting for the backup (and effectively) the transfer facility after emailing and speaking to TouchSoft late last year but no word since.

They seem to have a few clients the do apps for so perhaps it wasn't worthwhile.

A real shame as the app has real potential. It just needs a few enhancements.

To clarify, you can contact Touchsoft on [email protected] or on 0400 960 095 if you would like to speak directly to myself regarding the product.

Tony Peter has not been on the forum for a while, but I think if you search you'll see I have the occasional post where I feel I've been able to offer help to others, i.e. we have been around.

Regarding what the new version will or won't do. The next release does the following

Multiple networks
Blind control
Status Control
Direct level scene triggering
Backup/Transfer

It does not have direct climate support or cameras at this stage.

The above changes have been completed and are awaiting final testing.

Hi,

There are plans for an ipad specific version which would be incorporated into the one download, do the auto detect and then change accordingly.

The current app will runs fine on our Ipad, its a little blocky in 2x mode but works just as well.

Is this in the same release that you already mentioned or if not do you have a time frame?

 

At this stage it would likely be a separate release, i.e. an update at a later stage, I would still keep it in the same physical build.

I realise a lot of people have been very patiently waiting for the updates I mentioned earlier (which have been finished for some time now, but just haven't had a chance to fully test, in particular the multi network and backup) and would like to push them out first but need to make sure they are 100%.

I'm from Touchsoft and we didn't post this so I'm not sure what its purpose is either other than perhaps an enthusiastic user.

App available again

Just a quick note to anyone who had tried to download the app over the last couple of weeks.

Apple stuffed up our banking details and as such the app became temporarily unavailable.

Its back up now
