Hi Laurence,

Loving the app thanks for your work on it! I am currently just trying to get the app to open from another app (ActionTiles for SmartThings) and am just wondering if you have any URL Schemes in place for the app? (ie ctc-wiser:// ) If so, just wondering what the app URL might be for deep linking? Don't need any commands obviously just a way to have the app open!

 

Currently I don’t, I will have a look at how hard it is to implement, hopefully if it’s not to hard I’ll get it added in ASAP

Hi Laurence (Icrowhurst),

Just setting up the CTC app, do I need to install/generate a HTTP SSL Certificate to keep all information encrypted.
Do I need to purchase a SSL certificate or can it be created in the SHAC?

 

I’m not sure, I’ll try and find out.

I have tried to generate one, and it does generate it, but I get an invalid cert message.

Tha clipsal guys on here may know

 

On another note CTC-Wiser V2 is now available in the App Store.

A project I’m currently working needs the ability for the App to change the iPad page when a CBus command was issued. We are going to have door bell connected to a Bus Controller, that when press, changes th page on the iPad that has camera feeds and electric door/gate open buttons on it.

I could not do this using the current Wiser features, so I have now built in a TCP server into the CTC-Wiser app that can receive and act on messages sent to it. Currently it’s very simple and only supports 2 commands : page and play. Page is used to change the page displayed on the iPad, and Play is used to play a sound on the iPad eg Door Bell ring

The free app was for the previous wiser, this app is for the wiser SHAC/NAC

I developed the app as clipsal did not have one for this version of wiser. I do don’t work for clipsal. I charge a small amount which doesn’t actually cover the cost of my development time.

We are Cbus installers and we have been putting the app on our devices for a while now
3shacs installed on projects
I am sure this a recent change to pay for the app and have no dramas with paying
However we are about to install another shac on a new project on Tuesday and the client has asked if you pay once to download it to your App Store and then can you put it on all his 8 devices

iOS apps that you've bought or downloaded from the App Store can be used on every compatible iOS device you own—as long as they all use the same Apple ID, that is.

App purchases are made using your Apple ID (just like when you buy a song or movie or other content). The purchase grants your Apple ID the rights to use that app. So, when you try to install or run that app, the iOS checks to see if the device you're running it on is logged into the Apple ID used to buy it originally. If it is, everything will work as expected.

Just make sure to log into the same Apple ID on all of your devices, and that the same Apple ID was used to buy all the apps, and you'll be fine.

Set Wifi Name

If you set the Wifi name, if your iPad/iPhone is connected to the named Wifi the app will connect using the LAN Setting, if the Wifi name doesn't match the Wifi the iPad/iPhone is connected to then the app will connect using the WAN Settings. If no Wifi name is set and the iPhone/iPad is connected to Wifi the app will connect using the LAN settings.
