    Hi
I am trying to interface a 12V DC input from a 3rd party system to a C-Bus system.
Is is possible to directly wire it into the C-Bus auxiliary input or do we need to convert it to a voltage free input?

You need to wire your 12V through a relay (or similar) to provide a dry contact input.

The Auxiliary input unit is looking for a dry contact input of less than 1000 ohms to register as a contact closure on it's inputs.
