I am running Ver 2.0.33 Homegate and most seems to be working fine, except when initiated from a command line.
When switched to Operation Mode from within the program, the state of all groups displays correctly, and can be controlled as required.

When started via the command line, as below....
    C:\CLIPSAL\Homegate\Projects\Unit\unit.ctd /cgate=127.0.0.1 /operate /nosplash /www=127.0.0.1 /jpeg=high

....then the groups no not indicate the correct status. It is possible to control these groups and have them display correct, but by default they show as "off" when infact turned "on". The same problem then translates into Server X.

    Any ideas

Russ (hmm, seems it even happens when in program mode)

All groups will initially be displayed as off until C-Gate has synchronised the network and has reported the correct levels. Try switching on the option to display whether the networks are on-line (Options | Show Component Label | Show Network Status) and see whether the components show the correct status once the network comes on-line.

The problem is still there, no matter how long I wait for C Gate to update the status. The items/groups do not show on line even though they are. Once switched via Homegate, then they show correct from there on in.

    Regards

The on-line/off-line status is not displayed when in operation mode. This will be changed in the next version.

Try activating the Show Network Status option again and remove the /operate command line parameter. When you run it again, you should see the networks coming on-line as C-Gate synchronises the networks.

Is this only a problem for groups on remote networks, or does it occur on the local network too ?

Problem at present now seems resolved. Have changed network connection direct to the CNI module instead of via a serial (lantronics) redirection.
