    Hi Guys

It says in the manual that you can poll the 4 channels of the general input unit for the analogue values.
Can anybody explain how you do this.

    Thanks

    Hi
I guess nobody has ever used one then.
I can see how you can trigger things on different analogue values
Just need to know how you can display the actual value on a C Touch

    Thanks

    Colour or B&W ?

I believe Colour CT allows you to drop down a measurement component when designing a page in PICED.

    Hi
    Thanks for that.
Yes I have the colour one and I can see how you could address a unit but not each of the four channels.

    Thanks

From memory, you need to set up the unit so that channels have appropriate properties.

So, use Toolkit to set up the 5504GI channels:

    - dont set up events (because you want measurements)

    - set up the input type (eg 0 to 10V), set the units you are measuing, and any prefix. Set scaling, etc, and tick "Enable broadcast". Fiddle the settings which will change the interval between broadcasts. The values you see are a time between broadcasts OR if the measured value changes by an amount greater than the % value change.

On the global tab, set the "Unit Identity on the measurement application" to some number that will be unique to this 5504GI unit.

Now, in PICED / CTC you should be able to set it up to accept measurements from that Unit Identity and channel number. (I'll have to leave Darren to drop in specifics here if you get stuck on this part).

Refer to the Logic Help File topic called "System IO Variable Editor" for details.

    Hi Guys
Well Ive been playing about with it all weekend and cant seem to get it to work.

The unit itself seems ok as I can monitor the value on channel 1 through toolkit.

I have set the broadcast channel to 100 (tried 80 as well)
Set the system I/O up as Real 0-100 Unit 100(80) and channel 1 but I just get a reading of zero.
    Any ideas.

    Thanks
    Mark
