    Hi Guys,

Am i correct in asuming that a group adress not assighned to any unit, when state ON, and a power faluire ocurs and the C-bus restarts will be in the OFF state?.

If so any idea on how to prevent this?

I am assuming you are talking about a group address that is only present in a c-touch screen or wiser etc.

all these products configured by piced have the ability to have power fail recovery options set via piced

yes, It's on a mk11 with logic, used to update the status from the alarm system via rs232. How do you set the recovery of a group adress in piced?

Have you looked in the PICED Help?

In Black and White C-Touch and PAC, the levels of all group addresses are restored following power failure. This is automatic - there is no need to do anything in PICED.

What are the symptoms of the problem you are having? It in not quite clear from your description what the exact problem is.

I saw on the help file it restores itself but let me give you n brief senario,

The client arms the alarm via a remote to the AP(Alarm Panel).
Via the rs232 the AP gives a value off 255 to a group adress on the mk11.
There is 3 old MK1's that also displays this value.

When the power trips and recovers the C-bus reboots.
Sometimes the status of that groupadress on the mk11 comes back as 255(on) and sometimes as 0 (off) ie: it does not restore to the prevouis level every time.

The status on MK1 is always on 0 (off) after recovery. even if the mk11 is on 255.

My problem is that the Mk11 doesn't always display the corect status after recovery. This project contains 7 partisions which arm/disarm seprately.

I have never heard of a C-Touch unit forgetting the C-Bus levels. Which C-Bus Application are the groups on?

Have you monitored the C-Bus communications after power-up to make sure that no device is setting this group to 0 after a power-up?
