Flashing Light on Voltage Free Relay

I have an external light that can be switched on via an internal switch or can be activated by the external PIR. Has worked perfectly for years and now randomly starts flashing when activated by the PIR. The internal LED indicator flashes in unison so this would indicate a software problem. Have tested the light fitting and it's fine. I've tried to find a common thread but it is really random, sometimes it will activate normally other times activates and flashes. Won't flash if turned on by the switch.

Some more information is needed from you, what sort of controller do you have - color touch screen, b/w touch screen, Wiser, nac, shac...
I know that the color touch screens can cause random problems if the time/date is not correct and the light/pir is controlled by logic in it.

No Touchscreen on the network and it is been switched through a L5512RVF. Worked flawlessly for years then all of a sudden starts flashing.

 

Then it sounds like it could be the power supply for that unit.

 

Which LED are you talking about. The LED on the relay, in thePIR, or the switch?

How rapidly do the lights flash?

If you turn the light on with the switch, you say it works fine. What happens then if you trigger the PIR?

 

The LED on the switch, Sometimes the PIR triggers normally, that is light goes on, the off after 5 minutes as programmed. Randomly though will trigger and start flashing about 1 second intervals.
