    Hi,

Could we use a Power over ethernet switch for a C-Bus network. Considering that we have different cable from the switch touchbuttons and from the PIR. We didn`t have enough input on the devices.

The C-Bus network wiring has nothing to do with Ethernet, so it is not clear what you are proposing.

    Don't plug CBUS into Ethernet.

If you are asking, is it possible to power the Computer Network Interface with a POE power supply. I would imagine that it might be possible but it sounds very messy. You would still need a breakout box at the CNI end of the cabling.

This is a scary question. You can read it as though the nework has been installed back to a central location similar to an Ethernet network and all connected to an Ethernet switch "We didn`t have enough input on the devices".

Sounds like some fundamental knowledge is missing and maybe some expensive repairs.

@Arielis - Please read the manuls again for C-bus and if you still don't understand how it all goes together please post back here for clarification. it is better to ask then to stuff it all up and cost yourself a **** load of money in repairs and then ask.

Ambiguity is better than rhetoric isn't it.
