Sorry nothing to do with C-Bus but was wondering if anybody could point me in the direction of an Australian forum for Electricians. I have found this forum to be an invaluable resource for all things C-Bus but am yet to find a decent general electrical forum that is not U.S. based and/or full of DIY (Destroy It Yourself).

It is a brave company that runs a forum like this. There is only a little control over what is said and all the warts tend to get exposed. Now the folk at CIS might be a bit brave and they might have good products overall but don't hold your breath expecting similar things from companies in similar industries. It might pay to lobby the "brains trust" to put a section into this forum focusing on the electrical side of C-Bus - wiring, enclosures, segregation etc, the only problem is the boys of the brains trust are electronics and software gurus I doubt many of them have electrical licences and therefore would not be able to regulate the info as well ???

I think I just poo pooed my own suggestion

Electrical engineering degree .... start with a bag of parts and copper wire and end up with an electrical circuit. Work long hours, debug, enhance.

Electrician ...... take circuit out of box, attach wires, test, get paid and go to pub.

    Can't see

Well we have to take your word that it is decent or useful since you can't look at the posts without registering. Why no guest status? Is there a reason for this?

It's for electricians and you need to register.

I think the reason is to discourage DIY'ers which is against the "law".
Please join that forum if you want to have a discussion about that.
