    Hi
Can the temperature sensor be written too.
Ie if using c bus to control central heating
A c touch would be the interface to set times and temperature (hopefully).
A relay unit to open and close valves and turn on the boiler.

What I was hoping is you can set the temperature in the c Touch for the temperature sensors.

If not how else would you do this, the temperature control is the only thing I am not sure about.

    Thanks
    Mark

Why you don't use the c-bus thermostats?

On the "Clipsal-C-Bus-Product-Overview-Catalogue-2006" there are new thermostats (page 23).
Santa Clauss is comming but we are still waiting.:p

    Hi
    So how does that work.
If it works like a standard Stat its no different to what I have now.
If it acts like a switch and sends a signal over the Cbus when temperature is reached or not within temp, then tats what I want.

    Is it available yet.

    Thanks
    Mark

    I wonder:
when they say "5070THBR C-Bus? thermostat, programmable, single zone with 5 relays (relays for HVAC plant control only, not accessible via C-Bus?)" they mean that the relays wont be accessible via C-Bus
    or
that the thermostat wont interact with the rest system? Will be possible to change set points or schedule via CTC?

From my current understanding of the new thermostat,

The unit is definitely controllable by C-Bus, you can set, alter, etc the temperature. schedules, etc from other C-Bus input units on the network (including a CTC).

The ONLY limitation they are trying to imply from what you have quoted is that you cannot directly turn any of the relays on the unit on or off from C-Bus. You can simply adjust all other parameters of the unit, essentially meaning that you can still indirectly control the relays, albeit by simply adjusting the set temperature, etc on the thermostat over C-Bus

Darpa is correct. You can't assign a group address to the relays and turn them on and off like a regular output unit. The relays are under the control of the thermostat unit only and it does what it sees fit with them.

    Thats how they should work.

    Dear Newman and Marpa,
Since you know so much, any hint about the delivery-availability date?
