Normal Cat 5 cable works perfectly fine.

The point of the Cbus cable is firsty it's pink to make identification easy, and secondly it's rated for use inside mains enclosures. On a new install just use the Cbus cable. It's cost is insignificant relative to the whole project.

I wouldn't use normal Cat 5 cable…. Use specific cbus cat 5 cable.

Standard data cat 5 cable isnt rated to enter a electrical switchboard. Only cowboys use standard data cable.

also the copper core sizes are different in dynet cable. Which then ultimately affects your current capacity rating. I wouldn't advising using any cable apart from manufactures recommendations. Yes it will work but will you eventually have intermittent issues…possibly
