Got it on the network, powered up, no problems.

Transferred the config to the unit, it mentioned that it had to change the firmware version as it was incorrect. OK that's fine.

Now, eDLT has blank screen, no backlight. It appears in a network scan, I can re-address is, but any attempt to 'edit' it in Toolkit (1.13.0) i get the error:

'An error happened when loading the unit, please check the communication then try again.'

Attempting to transfer the database information to the network results in this error, after sitting at 15% for about 10 seconds:

'An error occurred when saving to the desnitation unit, please check the communication then try again.'

Funnily enough, the first config I sent it, still functions the group addresses.

I tried upgrading the firmware with Toolkit thinking this might bring it back to life, it performed the upgrade, but unfortunately the screen is still dead and cant send the unit configuration to it.

Im having no other issues with Toolkit or my cbus network. Everything else works fine.

Tried performing this on a Windows 2008 server. Windows 8.1 machine gets different errors which i have emailed using Toolkit

    Any ideas?

    thanks!

Have you used the Toolkit to update it to the new firmware?

I had 1 do similar and it was back to normal once it had the new firmware.

Incidentally, update all of them whether you think you need to or not, the changes make them more stable amongst other things including new fonts.

yup that was the first thing I tried.

and have tried again since. still the same.

weirdly, the update in Toolkit is 1.2, however the unit says it has 5.4. weird?

Had a play this morning, and its come to life!

Looks like Toolkit doesn't work fantastic with Window 8/8.1. Anyway, built a Windows 7 machine and got Toolkit working fine.

My config either doesn't work, or im setting something up incorrectly.

My current DLT's backlighting is controlled by a group via my Spectrum. Using the same group on the eDLT makes the screen go dark. Same with the indicators.

Ill play more, see if its me again.

Loving the colour screen and LEDs!!

I have a scheduled change the level of the group that controls the screen colour so it changes during the day - mostly to see if my wife notices and to see what it was about.

    Wife hasnt noticed :(

Helped me get my head around it though. :D

my wife took one look at it and gave me permission to replace all the 'crappy' DLTs with the new eDLT.

I might play with the colour change option too, I thought it was a bit gimmicky but could be cool to mess around with.
