DMX512 Nac Lua HELP ME

Hey guys

im not new to cbus and work on it all the time, Just i havenver done lua

i really need some help

i have wired the rs485 from my 5500SHAC to the DMX-in on a 4 Channel dimmable decoder which is com+ Switched- to suit my RGBW LED strip i want to use. i have a large use for RGB lighting i my home and really would love someone to basically help me write a script to be able to make and interface at least as a visualization on my Shac. I know this side of the shac very well and would love this feature.

i would love to know how to program in lua.
I'm trying to on a course but will b like 6 months before i have the time to get to it

There are no end of lua tutorials on the web. If you have any programming experience picking up lua won't be that hard. You can install lua on a Mac or PC to play around and get the hang of it. Then just start writing some simple scripts for the SHAC to say respond to a GA and do something.

You are much more likely to get help if you have a go and then ask questions on code you have written rather than just expecting someone to write it for you.

 

Thanks heaps for your Advice. i legit have no idea where to start hence why im here. The best way to learn something totally new is come to the largest pool of knowledge ad gt a helping had to get moving then return with questions.

so do you have a good lua program you could recommend
