    Hi

What is the difference betweem the normal DIN dimmer CBUSs and the PRO range? I want o be able to control a range of low energy bulbs and halogen lights, and potentially LED (but now with LED it depends on the bulb).

    Regards
    Giuseppe

The Pro dimmers have a higher current rating per channel, so they're more targeted toward large installations with a larger number of loads per channel. The Pro dimmers are also in completely different enclosures (not DIN rail).

For dimming LEDs, it's a little difficult at the moment as the technology is only just starting to come of age... there are some really good solutions out there now, but they're still expensive... that said, you get what you pay for.. there are lots of "cheap" solutions, but the results are pretty poor with these.

Of all the C-Bus dimmers, the DIN rail leading edge (L5508D1A, L5504D2A) are probably the most likely to work with a good quality dimmable MR16 or GU10 LED replacement. The best LED fittings I have seen are the Pierlite Starburst or Crompton XL (in Australia), and I've heard these also work well with the L5504D2U Universal dimmer.
