I have an 8channel CBus2 dimmer that runs multiple 240V LEDs on various channels. All of a sudden one of our bedroom light circuits flash at roughly 5am each day even though there is a 31 LCDA cap in the circuit. Just testing the output voltages on the that channel and the others on that dimmer it appears there is a full 240V on the channel outputs even though the channels are not switched on. Is this dimmer faulty.. it seems so, unless I am missing something?
I have other 8 channel dimmers with unswitched output voltages of approx 14 v. Which seems to be normal for a dimmer to have some leakage?
    Appreciate any help on this.
    Thanks

How is the 31 LCDA wired in ?
Do you have 31LCDA on other circuits that measure 14v

The LDCA are in parallel on the output to the neutral bar. There is another CBUS2 dimmer with and LDCA driving an LED strip and 2x LED downlights with drivers. The LED light strip has the same problem where it flashes periodically at night from 6pm on. It has 16V across it when not switched. There is another CBUS dimmer which drives an IXL lamp, has an LDCA and only has 0.5 V across it. No issues with that circuit. I am thinking about switching the problem circuit to a spare channel on that dimmer to see if it eliminates the fault.. Maybe I have 2 x faulty dimmers

The L5508 and L5504 dimmers were designed to run incandescent lamps and iron core transformer loads.
As time went on electronic transformers for downlights were used and these had issues, I'm not going to discuss those issues here, it's been done too many time on this forum.
Today Led lighting is what is commonly used and when connected to these dimmers may cause issues, often loads glowing in the off state and as you are experiencing occasional flashing.
Ideal solution use one of the new dimmers designed for LED loads.
This may not always be practical if upgrading the lights.
Using the LCDA can help and putting it closer to the load has been at times more successful.
Sometimes using 2 LCDAs can help, there are other manufactures who make similar devices which may function better, search the forum for the model or google it I can't remember who made them.
A flashing Led at certain times of the day would typically imply a signal or noise on the mains supply, this could be injected by the supply company or a piece of equipment in your home. You may be able to rectify a faulty device, but unlikely unless its obvious.
If flashing is the only issue you have, do you have any spare relay channels that you could wire in series with the dimmer channel hence completely isolating the load in the off state.
For future reference be mindful of Minimum load requirements and also maximum capacitance per channel of 300nf.
If you want to check your channels try temporarily connecting an additional load to the suspect channel say a 40w lamp and see if the problem goes away, if it does o away with an additional load connected you can be reasonably certain that the channel is ok.

Thanks, I have since swapped that light circuit to a spare channel on another dimmer unit, It has been two days and it hasnt flashed since..I presume that points to a dimmer issue? as I have previously swapped to other channels on the suspect dimmer and the fault followed.

Before you change the dimmer just check the electrical connections, incase there's a loose connection on the supply.
