Ordered a 5400 thinking it was the CBus one. Won't have time to exchange before the security guy puts it in - is there much difference in the boards?

Can I just get a CBus Sim seperately and CBus my 5400, or will I need to get a 5400/CB16 panel and completely swap it over?

    C-Bus Homesafe

    Hi Scott,

There is quite a difference with the C-Bus enabled Homesafe, specifically the standard Homesafe doesn't have the necessary programming to support the C-bus features. So adding a sim wont do the job.

However the 2 different PCB's have the same foot-print so you can wire the security sytem up, bring in a c-bus cable and swap the PCB's over at a later date.

    Hope that helps.

The other major difference is that a 5400 is a 8 zone panel and the 5400/16CB is a 16 zone panel.
