    Hi All,

I experienced what I believe is comms errors tonight which appears to have "somewhat" settled down, unless there is a unit issue it may possibly be related to the trenched cable running up to the shed with all this rain. In any case, the traffic analyser shows a large number of messages however I don't see where they are from. I assumed that the total messages would have been accounted for under the second grid however that doesn't seem to be the case.

The message count was averaging around 20 per second but seems to have dropped a little. Any
    clarification would be appreciated.

And as an update, the messages per second have increased dramatically. Needing to track down where they are being generated, whether they are retries due to network errors as these have increased tenfold over the previous.

I've not checked yet, I'll be doing that today as this all happened last night. At this point the message count is down to around 0.5 / second. I need to find that cable coming in from outside as I suspect a marginally intelligent idea that seemed to be the right choice at the time has come back to bite me.

I fully expect at this point to find an earth on the line however now that the rain has subsided, it might not be as obvious as I was hoping.

For context on the level of stupidity, I buried the data lines to the shed in conduit 10 years back, ran out of cable on the cbus line which is fine, but then terminated inside an inspection junction box that was sealed up with pvc glue, you see my fear. All was well (mostly) until we get the level of rain that we had for the last two weeks.

Yeah, it came good overnight, aligning with the weather. In any case I've identified the run heading to the garage and shed, so will be able to go direct to it if the issue resurfaces.

Might be worth running an outdoor cat 5 cable. Has a harder outer sheath with gel filled inner.
