    Hi guys,
Was wondering if you could help with selection of motion detectors / occupancy sensors. I am looking at 5751L (corner mount) or the 5753L/PEIRL (ceiling mount 360 degree)

    (refer to attached file)

Basically in front of the WC is a long hallway.
If i use a corner mount at point A the concern is that you may have to enter a fair way into the room before the sensor detects.
If i use the corner mount unit at point B it may sense hallway traffic.
If i use the 360 degree unit at point A i was thinking the 300mm or so above the head of the door would be enough to 'blinker' the detector form sensing hallway traffic however it would almost immediately sense entry into the room.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Grant

The 360 deg PIR is the way to go, don't mount it too close to the wall above the door - about 300mm would be suggested, otherwise it might be a bit slow to react.

The 360 deg PIR's are now shipped with blocking sheilds so they can be configured to suit all situations.

Agree...Have the same setup however it's probably 800mm from the door, works a treat.

On a side note, have mounted a 5753PEIRL in the middle of a 1m wide, 9m long hallway and picks up everything- Quite a good product considering it's not the ideal application.
