Thanks to our (un-named) supplier, we have dali light fittings on our c-bus system. I have purchased the gateway, but am now unsure of a few things.
I want to be able to turn on, off and dim the cct using a 2 gang switch.

1/ Do I need to get software to configure the dali fittings, OR
2/ Can I use the Broadcast Level and Broadcast Off commands to do this.

    Any help would be great!

If you just want everything lumped together so all the DALI fittings appear as a SINGLE cbus group, then you should be able to use the gateway with no need for DALI commissioning s/w.

But if you want the DALI fittings to be individually controlled, each by their own cbus group address, then you need DALI commissioning s/w.

    Ic383,
Try doing a GOOGLE search (or equivalent) on WinDIM.
I think the latest version is WinDIM 4.0
    Pretty intuitive to use.

So is it as simple as setting up the input device to dim up and dim down, then apply the relative group to the DALI action of Broadcast?
All lights should dim up or down accordingly?

A broadcast command on Dali works much the same way as an Area address in C-Bus it will control all the fittings on that loop together. You won't need to do any programming for the Dali if this is how you are going to control them.
If your wanting to break up the fittings into groups then you will need to address all the fittings and add them to "DALI Groups" then have C-Bus control that Dali group.
To address the fittings you can use WinDim but you will need a Dali PCI to connect into the Dali bus ;)
