DALI Gateway Script

Howdy

Does the Dali Gateway script for the NAC and with the DCDALCIP250-2 allow control of colour temperature and brightness of DT8 ballasts/drivers?

Did you get this working? Im trying to do something similar, cBus technical support pointed me to Tridonic DT6 Drivers but Im yet to find how to program colour temperature...

 

This is in the documentation for the LUA script you can purchase from SE to run on the 5500SHAC.
haven't used it myself so i can't be confident of its function.

The DT8 and DT6 are pretty much the same, DT8 you send color and level commands to the same address where as DT6 you have 1 address for color and another for levels and on off. (at least that's how i understand it)

 

What Dale said is how I think we did colour change, haven't done it for a while but from memory we had a group address per ballast that represented rgb. Just altered the levels to achieve the colour and saved them as scenes to be recalled up if that makes any sense.

Thanks Dale, I saw that off the Dali nac pdf too. Clipsal says its does for the DT8s so all good.

 

i have been looking for a while for a proper RGBW DT8 driver, one i found made by Lunatone seemed impossible to source from anywhere (although i would use them as i like their gear)
I found this one today, seems to be made by sunricher, haven't tried it but it looks promising.
