DALI Emergency Lighting Test on CBUS

    I have an installation with multiple DALi gateways and emrgency lighting with a DALI Ballast fitted to them. Is it possible to do the emergency lighting tests from CBUS.

    Simple answer: No.

    EM lighting tests are a bit messy, and not done using conventional DALI arc power commands (which is what the DALI gateway supports).

    The gateway seems can dim but not offer test function
    you can try the commission software support emergency testing to test them, as the test only need to do once each year, that is not a big problem.

    While this isn't running a test from CBUS the DALI Cloud Gateway is compatible with CBUS DALI and will allow you to run the EM tests from a web browser.

    Proper em testing needs more than just a web browser.

    It should be scheduled and have reports for audit and legal compliance.

    Yes you are absolutely right Ashleigh.

    AS2293 compliance, reports and scheduling is all built in, including permanent storage for auditing and legal compliance the fortunately the DALI Cloud takes care of that as well as performing all the scheduled tests.

    There is also a free iPAD app with EM testing and EM reporting support about to be released for it as well, but it won't be out for another month which will be really cool. But technically although its compatible with any CBUS DALI installation its not actually a CBUS product so I'll leave it at that.
