Have you considered the IR Transmitter, i.e. 5034NIRT?

I have considered IR control but I understand that daikin have a C-Bus enabled chip??? which allows on/off control as well as set point control???
    Any advise would be great!!!
    Cheers

    ducted daikin AC

    Hi
Yes you can control Daikin A/C via cbus
You will need to add a Daikin interface unit to your A/C this will allow you to control On/Off via relay contacts, set points via resistors and relay contacts plus if you add a cbus bus coupler you can get the state of the A/C unit ie On/Off and Fault status.
    Regards

    thanks Graham,
I am just at the wiring stage ..... what wiring do I need to provide between the C-Bus cabinet and the fan coils of the AC units to achieve the on/off control and the set point control??
    Thanks for your help
    Cheers

You need to run a shielded twisted pair for you relay to each fan coil unit. The interface card is installed in the fan coil unit.

    Daikin A/C

I have 3 fan coil units connected for on/off control through C-Bus and have feedback for on/off through Crestron I am looking for a practical way to control the setpoints without having 5-6 relays with different resistors on each relay. Any advice would be welcome.

Really there is a C-Bus interface for Daikin? Where can it be found?

Relay control is not something I need, actually.

Maybe PAC could be used someway?

Now I know nothing about A/C's so this may be total BS

But dont the thermostats/controls use a 485 bus. If so then can a PAC be used in place of this and then IR becomes available (if it is currently not) and full control via c-bus is a reality.

You never know, if you write the logic for the PAC you may be able to sell it to those like me who cant program.

My inlaws have a carrier A/C with no IR control, but there is a 485 input available. There have always been plans to inegrate it with the c-bus system, but until the PAC came along I thought it would be relay control as well. I figuered using the PAC should also allow the use of the touchscreen/homegate to set temps etc.

pleae correct me if i am wrong

    Daikin ITC Crestron

    Hi,
I just completed a crestron module to control daikin VRV via the ITC with firmware 4.42.03 and similar, adjusts power, temp, fan etc. can be made into a very cost effective interface unit for any system, I'm using it to iPad control my system, let me know if I can help.

Hi, Please install "Daikin iTouch Controller", it allows Web Control of Daikin HVAC. New firmware required. Then My Crestron Module Communicates with the iTouch Controller. And you can use your iPad to control Daikin now!
