Doing a design for a house with 3 phase.

    Customer would like monitoring on

    Property
    AIRCON1
    AIRCON2
    POOL Equip

    All 4 are 3 phase.

how do I do this and not use up more that 4 energy monitors up in wiser

    1) put all 3 phase cables through the same CT (CT not big enough)

    2) 4 measurement modules with 3 CT per unit one CT on each phase ?
Can you add 3 together so only uses 1 energy measure channel in wiser ?

You'll need to measure the 3 phases independently and then calculate the final power figure using logic.

You should be able to do this by using a bunch of CMU's and having them broadcast their channel current. In logic you should be able to take this information and, along with a line voltage estimate, approximate the actual power.

Once you've got that, broadcast the result as a new message on the measurement application. bmerrick posted how to do this here.

    Thanks newman

I thought as much was hoping I was wrong.

Wish list for next measurement firmware.... ability to add 3 channels together and send as total

If all the loads are single phase just measure the neutral current?

Oops, reading on phone and didnt notice line that said all loads three phase. Power meter sounds best option.

Can't you do this with three CMU's? As long as they're all in close proximity, you can use the fourth channel of each to measure that fourth load's phase.

If any of the loads are balanced then you just need to measure 1 phase on each of these
